The Role
Monitoring Telecom Network’s systems and infrastructure including Core Network, Radio Access Network (RAN), Transmission Network…etc., in addition to the IT elements and services; detecting any errors, failures, malfunction, and/ or low performance around the clock, through checking alarms, event logs and all other modules of network monitoring system.

The Responsibilities
Monitoring Telecom Network’s systems and infrastructure including Core Network, Radio Access Network (RAN), Transmission Network…etc.; detecting any errors, failures, malfunction, and/ or low performance within the network around the clock, through checking alarms, event logs and all other modules of network monitoring system.
Clearing alarms and managing faults related to the Telecom Network’s elements, through faults detection, isolation, troubleshooting and escalation to the concerned team, while following Zain’s policies and procedures in this regard.
Assisting and Following-up with related teams throughout problems Telecom Network elements problem resolution; aiming to maximizing network’s availability and minimize its downtimes.
 Supporting enhancement, upgrade and optimization activities of telecom network elements, as well as the introduction of new services; ensuring availability and functionality of all services and network elements as a result.
 Preparing operational reports including network’s status, network performance, failures, power outages…etc., and subsequently deliver them to concerned parties in a timely manner.
 Assisting in handling and following-up on customer complaints, and informing Call Center department in case of any Network activities that may cause service outage or performance levels degradation.
 Coordinating activities between different field teams, in order to prevent overlap/ redundancy and guarantee consistency of actions.
 Implementing incident management policy and procedure, in addition to initiate the related incident report where needed.
 Controlling team’s access for different locations and facilities, such as wireless communication sites, while reporting break-in incidents to the concerned parties.
 Leading working shifts and supervising other team members; ensuring smooth work flow and problem handling, when assigned by direct manager.
 Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering or a related field.
Preferred: CCNA or equivalent professional certificate.
